Hey there, my name is Stan.
As a BA (Hons) Audio Engineering & Production graduate, and an audio nerd,
I offer mixing and mastering services for artists and bands, resulting in a sound that is as clear, defined, and full as humanly possible. Not to mention meeting
the industry standards and requirements.
I'm based in Berlin, Germany. I get the work done from my home-studio in Schöneweide, and in the studios at Funkhaus Berlin.
The genres that I get hired the most in are:
With that being said I'm always open to work outside of these msucial forms.
Below you can find examples of my mixing work. There are 2 different versions of each song. You're welcome to compare both of these by yourself.
BEFORE - rough mix delivered by the client along with the stems before the mixdown, or the original release
AFTER - approved by the client finished mix, or a mix remake
Both versions of each song are volume-matched to avoid loudness bias.
In case you're having trouble with loading the files, you can also find the mixes on the
Soundcloud page.
Permafrost - Beyond The Frozen Walls Of Eden (rough mix)
Ætheria - Chains
Sun Cult - Sun Language (rough mix)

How to share the stems with you?
> As a .ZIP file, preferably shared via the WeTransfer website (wetransfer.com)
Should the stems be labelled?
> Yes. Please ensure that you have all of the stems / tracks labelled properly,
and that you're sending only what's necessary - what would you like
to be used in your song.
> Additionally, if any manipulation has already been done to the stems
such as drum quantizing, or vocal tuning, please make this clear by labelling
the stem accordingly (eg. "kick in - quantized")
What to include in the submission?
> Besides including the rough mix (the mix you, the client did),
and a couple of reference tracks, I would also ask for 2 stem folders:
Dry, and Wet.
Contents of the Dry folder:
> Every single track / stem used in your song - UNPROCESSED,
meaning no creative time-based effects (unless they're crucial to the song),
no compression, no EQ, no guitar or bass amp-sims (if used)
> DI tracks for the guitars and bass (if applicable)
> MIDI for the drum tracks (if applicable)
Contents of the Wet folder:
> Every single track / stem used in your song - PROCESSED,
meaning all creative time-based effects , compression, EQ, guitar and bass amp-
sim tones. Everything that you used to make a rough mix by yourself.
NOTE: If using time-based effects as inserts, as opposed to send and return tracks,
please send both the PROCESSED audio without the effect insert,
and with the effect as an insert (name the tracks accordingly)
> Dialed tones for the guitars and bass, whether it's recorded live,
or using amp-sims.
